Shrinkrs / Convert images
Convert SVG to PNG
Turn SVG graphics into PNG images at the pixel size you choose. Transparency is kept, and you can also export to JPG or WebP. Nothing leaves your browser.

How to use the SVG to PNG tool
- STEP 1
Add your SVG files
Drop one or several .svg files on the box. A sample SVG is available to try.
- STEP 2
Choose the output size
Pick a width in pixels. SVG is vector, so any size stays sharp. Use 2x or more for retina screens.
- STEP 3
Download
Save the PNGs or take them all as a ZIP.
Choosing the right pixel size
An SVG has no fixed resolution, so a PNG made from it is only as sharp as the width you pick. For web use, export at twice the size it is displayed at, so a 200-pixel logo becomes a 400-pixel PNG, and it stays crisp on high-density screens. For app icons and social media images, use the exact pixel size the platform asks for. For print, size up generously: 2000 to 4000 pixels is common.
If the SVG has no width and height of its own, Shrinkrs uses its viewBox, and falls back to 512 pixels if neither exists.
Limits worth knowing
Text in an SVG uses the fonts available on your device. If the SVG relies on a font you do not have installed, the browser substitutes another one. Convert text to outlines in your design tool first when exact lettering matters. Images and fonts that the SVG loads from other web addresses are blocked for security when a browser draws an SVG onto a canvas, so embed them inside the file.
Transparent areas stay transparent in PNG and WebP. If you choose JPG, they are filled with white.
Questions people ask
How do I convert an SVG to a high-resolution PNG?
Pick a large width such as 2048 or 4096 pixels in the output size menu. The result is rendered fresh from the vector data at that size.
Does the PNG keep a transparent background?
Yes. Transparent areas of the SVG stay transparent. Choose JPG only if you want a solid white background.
Can I convert SVG to JPG?
Yes. Change the Format menu to JPG. Transparent areas become white.
Why does my text look different?
The browser draws the SVG with fonts installed on your device. If a font is missing, another one is used. Convert the text to outlines in your vector editor before exporting.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. It is drawn and converted locally in your browser.
